On July 22, 2026, Amandeep Singh Gill — United Nations Under-Secretary-General and the UN Secretary-General's Envoy on Technology — visited INNO100 in Shenzhen with his delegation.
The visit focused on how Shenzhen turns technology innovation into products people actually use. The delegation went through the store's frontier innovation products hands-on and toured the INNO100 Customization Workshop, where visitors have products personalised on site.
Much of the conversation returned to digital cooperation and open-source solutions: how hardware ecosystems built on open standards move between markets, and what makes an innovation transferable rather than local. That question sits close to what INNO100 does — the store exists to put global innovation products in front of the public in physical form, on the premise that adoption depends on whether people can handle a product and understand it, not on how it is described.
INNO100 regularly hosts international delegations at its Shenzhen Bay store, including representatives from the APEC Secretariat, national governments and overseas trade bodies.
